Vaseline are mostly known for their famous little tubs of multi-use jelly balm, and more recently for their highly effective Spray & Go body moisturisers, but the one thing I tend to turn to the brand for most of all is their innovative range of hands creams; I keep a stock of their 2in1 Hand Cream and Anti-Bac in my handbag as I think it’s such a great product for meeting both those elements of hand care, and recently I was introduced to their Intensive Care Healthy Hands Stronger Nails Cream, which is my current night time hand cream.
Surprisingly, I do think my nails have got stronger after using this for a few weeks. I didn’t actually realise until yesterday when I noted my nails were feeling a lot stronger after feeling quite week over the Christmas period, and I was trying to work out what I’d been doing to make them stronger. I didn’t realise that this moisturiser was designed to strengthen nails, but it certainly seems to have done the trick for me. It’s a light, easily absorbed product that feels great on the skin; hydrating without any greasiness or tackiness and with a fragrance that isn’t too intrusive. I think you could definitely get away with using this throughout the day if you’re really struggling with dry hands. I would say that if your skin is dry, cracked and painful then you’ll need something a little more heavy duty than this, but as an easy, nightly treatment, this is doing the trick for now. It’s certainly not the best hand cream I’ve ever tried, but for the impact it’s had on my nails alone, it needs to be tagged as a great product that actually delivers on it’s promises; not bad at all for £3.99 here – link.
