As promised, here’s the post I briefly mentioned in my previous post! Mother’s Day is this weekend, and for some reason, it’s the first one I’m aware of as an actual mother myself, even though Teddy is over 2 years old. I think it’s because I’ve been invited to things and sent things for me, as a mum, rather than to give to my mum, if that makes sense?! Anyway, here are a couple of sets that are more suited to my mum, starting with the Nuxe Best Sellers Gift Set.
The Nuxe Best Sellers Gift Set contains three decent sized (and I think full sized, although I’m not 100%!) products, starting with the cult Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Multi-Purpose Oil (50ml) plus two products from the Reve de Miel range, the Ultra Nourishing Lip Balm with Honey and the Hand and Nail Cream with Honey. This is a lovely set that I particularly like for the fact that it isn’t skin type specific, so it’ll suit everyone, plus who doesn’t love a great hand cream, lip balm and multi-use oil? I’ve jumped straight into the Lip Balm and it’s really lovely – rich, thick, nourishing and perfect for the colder days. This is a well priced set for £20 here – link.
Next is the set that I’ve already given to my mum, which is the L’Oreal Golden Age Mother’s Day Gift Set. Ignoring the patronising name of the set, I really love the fact that this is a trio designed for much more mature skin and it says clearly on the packaging that it’s for the skin of 50, 60 and 70 year olds. The trio is all about glow-giving and contains a Glow Re-Activating Essence, a Re-Fortifying Day Cream and a Rich Re-Fortifying SPF15 Day Cream.
I thought it was a bit strange that the set contains two day creams and no night cream, but I love the fact that there’s an essence included, but the part I love most is the fact that it’s purely for very mature skin. This is a set that’s on special for £20 at the moment, however, it’s showing up as out of stock online, so you might want to visit or call your local store to see if they have any available. In the meantime, check it out here – link.
