A little while ago I was invited back to Skin3 in Swiss Cottage to find out more about their new EndyMed Glow treatment, a radio frequency treatment designed to provide a number of skincare benefits by stimulating skin cells and encouraging collagen production – I haven’t tried it myself, but I’ve seen the before and after pictures of people with various different issues, and they’re pretty impressive! Find out more about EndyMed Glow here. At the launch I was also invited back to have another Environ Facial and I thought I’d share a quick revisit as it’s been a few years since my last one.
Environ Facials are the perfect balance of results-driven and pampering, with lots of fancy machinery and products, but nothing uncomfortable and a mostly relaxing and indulgent experience. Environ have a fantastic name in skincare for very good reason, as they provide products that really do deliver and are especially well suited to problem skin types, such as those who suffer from spots, pigmentation and combination skin problems. My facial started with a deep cleanse, before a layer of the cult Environ Colostrum was applied and a micro-current machine was used to gently work the product into my skin; this is done in stages (forehead, one side, other side) and it’s a very relaxing experience. Following this was a Vitamin A treatment before a mask was applied as you can see above. This is the only element of the treatment that might cause problems as it’s quite intense; a thick, cold mask is applied – ideally over the entire face to include eyes and mouth if you can handle it! – then the mask is attached to the micro-current machine and left on to do it’s thing for around 15 minutes. In this time you get a hand and arm massage which perfectly compliments the experience. Finally, the mask comes off and finishing products are applied.
I’m always impressed with Environ Facials as they are so sensible; they use proven ingredients and technology which is adapted to your skin problems, so you see immediate benefits after the facial (my horrendously broken out skin already looks and feels considerably soothed and hydrated) and these benefits are easy to maintain with the Environ range. You can find out everything you need to know about both the treatments at the Skin3 site here.
