Every year I do a series called the 12 Gifts of Christmas which focuses on 12 (funny that) individual gift ideas; I trawl through all the great possibilities and find my very favourites, all of which are things I would love to receive myself. I have to kick things off with the amazing Omorovicza as I can’t imagine there’s a beauty-lover on the planet who wouldn’t love to get something from this luxurious brand. Every few months or so I go through a stage of ‘Omorovicza Obsession’ where I just sort of lust over everything on their site (current lust list focuses mostly on their Blue Diamond and Gold ranges) as they really do have the most beautiful products that are indulgent yet effective and a true joy to use. With that in mind, the Omorovicza Christmas Introductory Set is a very exciting gift set to kick of my series with.
The Omorovicza Christmas Introductory Set is probably one of the best skincare sets I’ve seen for a while, as not only is it a fantastic introduction to the brand, it’s also a really well thought out set on it’s own as it contains literally your entire starter skin set, so whoever receives this can fully immerse themselves in the Omorovicza experience. Also, the products are a really good size (no teeny, tiny sachet samples here) so you’ve got enough to last a good while to see how your skin reacts and select your favourites. This is the ideal routine as you get two cleansers for a thorough double cleanse, a toner, a moisturiser and a mask, all of which are big sellers for the brand and for very good reason; what I particularly love about this set is that it’s packed full of really good products – often with these types of gifts you get a couple of stars and a couple of filler bits, but everything here is fab.
The two pots contain 15ml each of the Thermal Cleansing Balm and the Ultramoor Mud Mask, both of which make full use of the Hungarian Mud which is one of the main ingredients that the brand utilises for it’s many skincare benefits. If you’re a balm lover but you haven’t tried the Omorovicza Thermal Cleansing Balm then you’re in for a real treat, as this beautifully rich yet muddy (great for us spotty girls without any dryness) balm is the favourite of many beauty bloggers and editors due to how wonderful it is to use, whilst also being great for make-up removal and leaving skin feeling purified and polished. For an extra boost on a weekly basis, the Ultramoor Mud Mask is yet another beautiful product in the range.
I haven’t actually tried the Cleansing Foam (3oml), but going by the reviews it sounds like an ideal second cleanse to follow the Thermal Cleansing Balm on heavy make-up days, or a refreshing morning cleanse – one of the reasons I was so excited by this set is because it contains this and the Balancing Moisturiser, both of which I haven’t tried and really want to! Speaking of which, the Balancing Moisturiser (20ml) is a product that’s been on my ‘must try’ list for ages as it’s supposed to be amazing for tricky skin like mine. Finally, we have 30ml of the Queen of Hungary Mist which I think is probably one of the brand’s most iconic products; I had an Omorovicza facial recently (so, so good) and this was sprayed in-between each element of the facial and I was thinking this is something I need to start doing during my skincare routines too, as it’s such a light and soothing scent that feels lovely on the skin. The Omorovicza Christmas Introductory Set is £69 here – link.
