A few weeks ago I did my make-up perfectly and I was so happy with it; my eyes were even and tidy (very rare for me), my base was clean and just the right side of matte and my brows looked almost Instagram-worthy. Then I had a look at my face as a whole and it just didn’t look right; I realised I hadn’t applied my blusher – just a few quick sweeps of this innocuous, pink powder brought the whole look together and gave me a hit of health that really cannot be achieved with anything else – I can’t believe there are people who wear make-up and don’t bother with blusher (I’m looking at you, MUM) as it’s just so important! If you’re suffering from blush lethargy (I’m sure that’s a thing) then check out these three gorgeous new blushers that’ll get you playing with colour again in no time.
Following on from my intro post to Vincent Longo Cosmetics, the Water Canvas Creme-to-Powder Blush is a lovely, bouncy texture that provides an incredibly flattering finish. You can apply with your fingers or a sponge (I’m not too sure about a brush – my gut says it probably wouldn’t work but I could be wrong) and the key is to layer it up until you get the finish you like. This is a brilliant blusher for anyone who wants a healthy flush of colour without looking too made-up. The shade above is Swan Lake and there are three other shades available, all of which you can find at Cult Beauty here – link.
The Marc Jacobs Air Blush is an interesting idea as it contains two different shades (pictured is Night Fever and Hot Stuff) which, in theory, allow you to create a completely customisable colour as obviously you can go lighter or darker depending on how much of each shade you pick-up. It’s a tad novel, but it’s definitely a fun way to play with colour and the five shades available cover a really good selection, so you’re bound to find something you like! Here they all are – link.
Finally the Lancome Cushion Blush Subtil is just so unbelievably cute and fun – if you’re a fan of cushion foundations then you need to get in on the cushion blush action! It works exactly the same way as all cushion-style applicators and the finish is a really lovely, airbrush effect that looks pretty, natural and very feminine, especially if you go for the prettiest pink like the Rose Limonade shade pictured. If pinks aren’t your thing, there are five other shades, all of which you can view here – link.

I’ve swatched that Lancôme shade do many times, it seems inevitable that I’ll pick one up eventually! The Vincent Longo sounds amazing too ?
