I have a well documented love for Dove anti-perspirants as I really do think they’re the best around and I can’t actually remember the last time I used something else. The main reason I reach for Dove more than anything else is because I love that the formulations are so gentle and caring, thanks to the fact that they famously use 1/4 moisturising cream to give your underarms the hydration it so desperately needs, yet often doesn’t get. If you think about it, we put the delicate, underarm skin under some serious stress in much the same way we do our legs, via various hair removal procedures, but most of us don’t follow-up with any aftercare. The 1/4 moisturising cream provides intense hydration so you’re much less likely to suffer dryness or irritation since the skin is being cared for by a cocktail of moisturising ingredients found in this budget-friendly essential. I’m a huge fan of the original Dove scent – you know the one from the Dove soap bar? – which to me goes hand-in-hand with the scent of freshness as it’s such a clean and bright smell. I know that everyone has a preference when it comes to how they apply their anti-perspirants too; I’m personally a spray girl – I remember growing up with those adverts where you’d see a glamorous woman wafting her anti-perspirant spray over her underarms and the desire to be like that has stayed with me!
