Pixi Peel & Polish – Review and Competition

July 10, 2017 · In: Beauty, Competitions (BeautyGeek), Reviews, Skincare

I think we can all agree that Pixi skincare is known mostly for it’s exfoliators, thanks to the amazingly famous exfoliating toner, Glow Tonic, and it’s tremendous cult following. Isn’t it funny how, just a short time ago, Pixi mostly did make-up, and other than Glow Tonic, that was pretty much what they were known for? Nowadays their skincare (Skin Treats) is every bit as fabulous as their colour line, and I’m always excited to find out what’s new.  The Pixi Peel & Polish is one the newer arrivals and it’s fabulous.  It’s a manual and chemical exfoliator which you use like a quick mask, so you apply a thin layer, leave it for five minutes, then rinse off.  At the rinse off phase you can also gently massage the product around as there are grainy bits that will add a more intense polish – I like the fact that you can tailor your level of exfoliation.

The Pixi Peel & Polish is packed full of skin-smoothing goodies such as fruit enzymes, lactic acids and sugar extracts, all of which provide a great exfoliation with a quick payoff; I had a night out a couple of weeks ago and my skin prep involved using this followed by a moisture-packed sheet mask; my skin was peachy, plump, smooth and glowing by the time I was finished, and it stayed that way all night.  I always tread carefully around exfoliators that contain anything manual such as grains that polish skin, but if you tread carefully and don’t go overboard, then the result is a truly lovely finish.  It’s £26 here – link.  Pixi kindly sent me a couple of these bad boys to giveaway, so if you fancy trying one yourself, check out the Rafflecopter below.  It’s a Twitter comp that’s open until the end of the month and you can enter daily.  Good luck everyone! xx
