Let me introduce to you your new favourite everyday palette, the Zoeva En Taupe Eyeshadow Palette, which is a beautiful collection of extremely easy to wear shades that are lovely and light – nothing too dark, smoky or extreme – making this is perfect palette to reach for when you want to keep things light and daytime-friendly.
The Zoeva En Taupe Eyeshadow Palette contains 10 shadows in a good variety of taupe-leaning colours from very light to a little deeper, in both shimmery and matte formulas. The lightest shades work really well as base shades and the deeper shades are great for lining and adding definition. However, where this palette really excels is with the mid-tones; there are a few really great mid-taupes that are absolutely perfect – both in shade and finish – for one colour eye looks, which are often the sort of looks I favour on a day-to-day basis when I don’t have the time to do anything more fancy.
The middle six shades are the ones I reach for most, although I will give credit to the base shades which get used plenty too. The only shades that don’t get a lot of use are the far right two, which are both a lot deeper in colour; they’re actually lovely shades but they’re not well-suited to day wear, which is when I mostly use this palette. A fabulous and easy daytime look involves using Stitch-by-Stitch as a base colour, then buffing a little Wrapped in Silk on the outer corners for a bit of definition. This is a look I really like as it’s quick, easy and flattering. The Zoeva En Taupe Eyeshadow Palette is £18 here – link – which is a total bargain.
I was also sent a couple of Zoeva brushes which are absolutely brilliant and very well priced too. The brushes I have are the Soft Definer (227 £8.99 here – link) and the Petit Eye Blender Brush (223 – also £8.99 here – link) both of which are extremely handy brushes; the latter is perfect for addition definition to the crease, but the Soft Definer is basically a match made in heaven with the En Taupe palette as it gives a soft wash of colour that works so well with the soft taupe shades. Cult Beauty seems to be the main stockist for Zoeva, where you can check out their full collection here – link.
