It’s been a little while since I did a Boots haul, so a few weeks ago I popped along to Boots to see what was on offer. I was immediately pulled-in by the Maybelline stand, which had so many new launches that I wanted to try. There’s also the newest Max Factor foundation which I tried on my hand and immediately had to buy! Boots are great for promotions and at this time there was a 3for2 on, so that made it a little more justifiable…
I do love a good base product, so I picked up three base bits, starting with the gorgeous Maybelline Brightening Creamy Concealer (£4.99 here – link) which really is as it sounds – it gives a light and creamy coverage that can be built-up to a higher level, making it ideal for both spots and eye bags. Next is the Maybelline Master Camo Correcting Pen (£8.99 here – link) which comes in four shades and I went for green to target redness. I can’t say I’ve reached for it that much, but I haven’t had as much redness to contend with recently so it might be more to do with that as I haven’t reached for any correctors. It has a soft applicator head which technically means you can apply and blend in one go, but I prefer to follow with a sponge. The Max Factor Healthy Skin Harmony Foundation (£11.99 here – link – usually £14.99) looks and sounds amazing and I was so excited to try, but annoyingly the palest shade is still too dark and a fraction too warm, so it would be quite tricky to pull off, even with the use of a lightener. It has a lovely texture with fairly decent coverage, so as long as you’re not super pale like me, you should be fine.
I’ve spoken about the amazing Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Eyeliner (£5.99 here – link) in my September Love List and it really is phenomenal, providing high pigmentation in an almost foolproof application, this will be one of those products I always keep handy, especially at such a fantastic price. The final product is the Maybelline Brow Tattoo Longlasting Tint (£12.99 here – link) which is the only product I haven’t tried so far, and this is because I need to get my brows shaped so I have a shape to work with when applying. I’ll update you with how I get on, although I am slightly nervous as it’s a tint that apparently lasts for a good few days, so presumably if you apply it incorrectly, you’re stuck with a dodgy shape! If applied correctly though (and apparently it’s pretty easy) then this could be a real game-changer.
*All purchased by me
I actually have never tried anything from Max Factor, does the foundation last very long on the skin? Thank you for sharing, lovely haul xxx

Thanks lovely!
really good question re the foundation: I don’t remember it being an issue but I can’t be sure, plus it’s quite a creamy, hydrating formula (which I always find can be a bit slippery) so I can’t say for certain, but I would guess it would benefit from a good primer/setting spray. Do check out Max Factor though if you haven’t previously as they’ve got some absolute gems to be found, like their Lip Elixir lipstick (don’t think that’s quite the right name but it’s a really hydrating lipstick in some great shades) and they do these stunning powder blushers too xxx
