I am *SO* annoyed with myself as this collection went live on QVC on Friday, which is exactly when I should have posted about it, but then I thought I could get away with featuring it yesterday, then my little monkey was poorly so today is my first chance and so many of the colours are sold out, which is rubbish news! However, if you know your colour and it’s still available, then the The Ordinary 4 Piece Foundation Collection is well worth grabbing whilst you still can.
As the name suggests, the set contains four products, two of which are the cult colour products from The Ordinary – Serum and Coverage – the former of which provides a light to medium coverage, the latter of which gives a fuller coverage. I love them both and I actually think they work really well together (Serum all over, Coverage where you need extra help) so it’s great that they come in a set together and I hope they add more stock soon!
As if this set wasn’t fabulous enough, the other two products are High Adherence Silicone Primer and the Hyaluronic Acid 2% B5, both of which work in harmony with the Colour products to help you achieve the perfect base. The primer speaks for itself – all great base looks start with a good primer – but I love the fact that the serum has been included to boost hydration pre-primer, as foundation never looks quite as good as it does on really plump and hydrated skin. The set costs £18.50 plus £2.95 P+P – I don’t know how much of a saving that is off the RRP of The Ordinary as they are such purse-friendly products, but presumably there’s a saving of some kind so if you’ve been considering dipping your toe into the world of The Ordinary then here’s a great place to start. The Ordinary did some amazing things in both skincare and make-up last year, so I can’t wait to see what else they’ll be releasing soon!
