Hopefully by now you’ve had a chance to check out my intro post to Julep launching at QVC here, and my closer look at the awesome skincare line here. Now, in my final post (for now!) on arrival of Julep to QVC, here’s a little look at the gorgeous make-up currently available here…I say “currently” but it appears to all be sold out which is a bit of a shame, so fingers crossed they get some new stock soon!
I think the product most people will get excited about is the Julep Cushion Complexion 5-in-1 Perfector, and with good reason, as this is a truly lovely product that’s well priced and very handy for covering blemishes, marks and even the under eye area; it’s one of those rare concealers that works well at both types of concealing, and I’ve only come across a couple of products like that. The cushion applicator is a bit pointless as it doesn’t allow you to blend in the product, but this is a creamy, comfortable concealer available in a great shade range. It’s also the only Julep make-up product currently in stock at QVC here – link – for £18.96.
The Julep With a Twist Lash Boosting Bamboo Mascara is probably my least favourite of the make-up products, but I am a bit weird when it comes to mascara, tending to favour ones that aren’t very popular and not getting on with those that please the masses, so I’m not the most reliable source when it comes to mascara reviews. Having said that, this is basically good mascara with a wand that you can twist to change the length of the bristles, depending on what sort of look you’re going for, which is a great ideal, if a tad novel. It’s £16 here – link – where it’s currently available as a waitlist product.
The final products are all about the lips, and these are very pretty – apologies for the overexposed picture, I was playing with a new lens and got carried away…There are two types of lip products, the Julep It’s Whipped Matte Lip Mousse and the Julep It’s Balm Lip Crayon. The It’s Whipped Matte Lip Mousse is a lovely product that has a creamy matte finish in a comfortable formula and a flattering range of shades. The It’s Balm is my favourite – what a lovely, lovely product! It’s literally a crayon with hydrating colour on the outside, PLUS an extra hit of hydrating balm going through the centre, so it’s a great product to have in the Winter months when lips are horrendously dry, plus it comes in an attractive collection of natural, appealing shades. I can’t seem to find It’s Balm on the QVC site, but hopefully it’ll launch soon. The It’s Whipped mousses are waitlist only options and cost £14 each. Check out the full range here – link.
