The March 2018 Birchbox focuses on self-care and me time, which is something I thoroughly support as I think self-care is one of the most underrated life essentials – it’s sort of assumed that if you have time to self-care then you’re somehow not doing enough or have too much free time, whereas I think the opposite is true and it’s those who are busiest that need it the most!
With a self-care focus, the Birchbox March 2018 contents is a little pampering, a little indulgent and just generally enjoyable, all housed in a blue/green/aqua box with a design that reminds of those long, flowing (sometimes bell embellished) skirts you used to see everything the late 90’s/early 00’s.
I know Oribe have featured in boxes before but I can’t actually recall trying to products I’ve received. With that in mind, I’m going to make a point of trying out the Oribe Apres Beach Wave and Shine Spray as it sounds, quite frankly, awesome. Out of all of the masks in the collection, the Glamglow Supermud Clearing Mask Treatment is my favourite, so I’m always happy to have more to add to my stash and I think I’ll give it another outing tonight. I’ve made my feelings about the Benefit Badgal Bang Volumising Mascara (full review here) so I’m happy there’s a sample enclosed as I want to give it to my mum to try: “Happy Mother’s Day Mum! Here’s a tiny mascara sample that I got free in a beauty box” #LuckyMum
The Blaq Hydrogel Eye Mask sounds interesting enough, and I may add it to the Supermud tonight to make it an all out pamper sesh. I’m not 100% sure my under eye area needs a detox exactly, but don’t knock it ’til you try it, amirite? Thew final product is the Nuxe Reve de Miel Body Scrub, which looks terribly pretty in the dinkiest little tub, but, much like foot creams, I struggle to get overly excited about scrubs, which is why it’s low on my list.
