I was so excited when Profusion announced their UK launch (check out my intro post here) because there are few things I love to lust after quite as much as a palette, and Profusion know how to do palettes, plus they’re also very budget friendly, and I felt it was about time Makeup Revolution had a decent rival!
There are loads of different palettes to pick in the Profusion range alongside your expected eyeshadow palettes, such as face and eye palettes, highlighter palettes, and the one I decided to start my Profusion journey with, a brow palette. There’s a small range within Profusion called The Artistry Palette, with each palette offering a speciality and the one I have is Define Brows.
As you can see, you get pretty much everything you could possibly need for perfecting brows with 8 brow powders (in four colour duos), 2 brow pencils, a double-ended brush with a spoolie at one end and a slanted powder application at the other, a brow highlighter, a brow wax pencil, a pair of tweezers and a set of five brow stencils.
The colour selection is really good – Blonde, Medium Brown, Chocolate Brown and Ash Brown – with a solid array that can be mixed to find the perfect shade. There isn’t anything specifically aimed at redheads, but there are some warmer shades that might work. Unusually, there’s actually more for us cool-toned fans, with both Ash Brown and Medium Brown providing natural finishes on the ashier spectrum.
I haven’t tried the pencils as I’ve mainly focused on the powders. The Ash Brow duo is my favourite and I’m wearing both shades (lighter tapering outwards to darker) in the before and after above. I’ve also used the templates, which are actually very handy if you’re seeking a very specific shape but don’t know how to manipulate your brows into it. I’m not reaching for the Define Brows palette everyday, as for me, it’s more suited to times when I want a more prominent brow (my everyday brow look is pretty understated) but any brow fanatic would likely use this regularly, especially as it’s a great price at £12.95 here – link.
