There was a time, many moons ago, when both my AM and PM cleansing routine featured some form of cleansing brush. However, in the last few years I’ve realised that my skin needs a far more gentle touch, so I tend to only use special cleansing gadgets as part of at-home facials, when I need a deeper cleanse and I don’t mind if my skin goes a bit red. The Sensse Silicone Facial Cleansing Brush is one I’ve been including in my most recent facials.
The Sensse Silicone Facial Cleansing Brush is not just your average silicone brush. It has three bristle types and six settings that allow you to completely customise your treatment. I’ve always felt that silicone brushes get written off as being too gentle (especially in comparison to the more traditional brushes) but believe me when I say that that isn’t the case – these brushes pack a considerable punch and the Sensse brush is a great example of how power-packed they can be.
The bristle types include the larger, deep cleansing size for thorough cleansing, the smaller, more gentle bristles for sensitive skins, then the back of the brush contains the third bristles which provide a kind of massage that the makers suggest are anti-ageing; I have no idea whether that’s the case or not, but I like the fact that they offer a light but firm massage as it works really well with a good cleansing balm.
One of the best things about the Sensse Silicone Facial Cleansing Brush is the fact that it has six settings, which really does allow for a totally personal experience and I love the fact that you can adjust the power depending on what element of the brush you’re using. I tend to go for one of the lighter, more gentle settings for the cleansing brush side, and something with a little more power for the massage side. As you can see, the brush also comes with a fancy pink and sparkly carry case, which is a nice touch.
I like the Sensse Silicone Facial Cleansing Brush a lot more than I was expecting to as it adds several more dimensions to my at-home facial treatments. As my skin is very sensitive and rosacea prone, I’m not using this on a daily basis, but it’s certainly gentle enough for other skin types – I think oily and/or spot-prone skin types would be able to happily use this on a daily basis without any major issues, but obviously all skin types are different so always ease yourself into anything new. The Sensse Silicone Facial Cleansing Brush is very well priced at £39.99 here – link – with a 60 day money back guarantee and you can find out more about the brush itself here – link.
