The Karl Lagerfeld x ModelCo collection recently launched with some very cute bits and bobs with quirky designs and fun colours. To mark the exciting collaboration, Glossybox have put together a limited edition and themed collection of Karl Lagerfeld x ModelCo products as a one off box.
The Karl Lagerfeld x ModelCo Glossybox comes presented in a chic, black box which contrasts fabulously with the bright pink internal packaging and product boxes. Inside you’ll find six products in total, four of which are full-sized whilst the remaining two are deluxe minis. The theme of the box is ‘illuminated beauty’, which I can kind of see in the contents thanks to the blush and liner, although the red lip duo, to me, are less about illumination and more about making a statement.
The gorgeous Baked Blush in Rose Pink is my favourite product in the box, as it’s very pretty, although it looks more like a highlighter than a blusher in my mind as it’s quite shimmery. To go with the blush you also get a Blush Brush which is a nice touch. The Long-Lasting Liquid Liner is another great product to include in the box as these are pretty much everyday staples for many.
The lip products, for me, were a bit of a letdown, as you have the very brown Lip Gloss in Ramatuelle (I would’ve preferred a pink shade to go with the blush) and then the red lip duo, which I guess makes sense as these are all beauty staples, but to me, illuminated beauty evokes images of sheer washes of colour and gentle formulas, so I think a tinted balm or a more neutral lip product would’ve been great. Also, my Lip Couture Lipstick in Red appears to have melted on its way over, which is a shame! The Lip Liner in Red is a lovely formula – creamy, blendable and pleasant to use.
