bareMinerals recently released a small and lovingly formed edit of glow-giving products, the Crystalline Glow collection. The bareMinerals Crystalline Glow collection contains four products – three shades of the Crystalline Glow Highlighter Sticks and a Crystalline Glow Bronzer & Highlighter Palette.
The Crystalline Glow Bronzer & Highlighter Palette is definitely a show-stopper and a must for anyone who loves that glowy, lit-from-within finish to skin. The palette contains three shades: Pink Moonstone which is my favourite as it’s a pretty, peachy highlighter shade, Glistening Topaz which is a warming bronze shade and finally Rose Quartz, which is kind of a bit like a blend between the two, or a slightly deeper highlighting shade. On my fair skin, the two highlighter shades are very similar, but the Pink Moonstone, for me, is just a touch cooler and therefore more flattering on me. This is a really good palette for £30 here – link.
The Crystalline Glow Highlighter Sticks come in three shades: Iridescent Quartz, which is kind of a warmer, yellow-leaning pink, Shimmering Crystal, a warm peach and finally Prismatic Pearl, the cooler of the trio, which appears to be a purple-leaning, almost chrome-like shade. I have the first two, and these are really fabulous for adding a quick hit of glow-giving light to the face. The formula is wonderfully creamy, blends like a dream, and can be sheered out for a touch of light, or built-up for a glossier finish. These are £20 each here – link.
The above swatches start with the Highlighter Sticks in Iridescent Quartz and Shimmering Crystal, then the three bottom shades are in the order of the palette: Pink Moonstone, Glistening Topaz and Rose Quartz. The left swatches were photographed in indoor lighting, whilst the right swatches were taken in brilliant sunshine – look at the gorgeous multi-tonal finish of the Highlighting Sticks! Normally there’s a clear winner in every collection for me, but I would say that both products offer great value for money, provide fantastic glow and are easy to use products, so whether you prefer powder or cream highlighters (I currently can’t decide and go back and forth) the bareMinerals Crystalline Glow collection has you covered.
