A few months ago I had a fantastic facial courtesy of Skin Design London (check out my full review here – must book in again when I get back from holiday) which included a take home Dermaroller. I was also sent one of their key products, the C Antioxidant Glow Serum which I specifically requested as I know it was used during my treatment, plus Vitamin C is one of those great ingredients that works really well with Dermarolling, so with that in mind, I thought I’d put the two together for this post and share my thoughts on both.
I’ve used the Dermaroller a handful of times now and I do really like it, as I find my skin looks more plump and even for the following few days, especially when combined with other treatments as part of an at-home facial. Yes, it is a little uncomfortable, but it does get easier the more you do it, you can control the pressure to ease yourself in, and it really isn’t painful, just mildly unpleasant. The Skin Design London C Antioxidant Glow Serum is the perfect partner to a Dermarolling treatment as it’s a great formulation that’s been created to be fairly gentle, with the Vitamin C coming from Kakadu Plum alongside Ferulic Acid, which are both non-aggressive and will help to sooth inflammation rather than make it worse. The serum is also light and hydrating, so it’s a great choice for a morning skincare routine. It’s £105 here – link. You can purchase entry level Dermarollers online (this one is 0.2mm) but I would personally recommend getting one via a Skin Design London facial if you’ve not used a roller before, as this will give you an introduction into how it’s used and what sort of pressure to apply.
