I was so excited when I first heard about the Glossybox and Sunday Riley collaborative box, as I knew it would be something special. There is something about Sunday Riley that I find fascinating, although I’m not really sure why as I don’t think I’ve ever tried anything from the brand – I think it’s just because it has such a fantastic reputation, matched with a very high price point (not that that necessarily suggests the products are any good!) so I find my ears prick up whenever the brand is mentioned.
The Glossybox x Sunday Riley box contains five Sunday Riley products, four of which are pretty small sample sizes, although probably enough to give you a rough idea whether each product works for you or not. There’s also a full-sized product that’s a very exciting inclusion – I think, for the price, you’re really getting a lot for your money.
Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Night Oil is arguably one of the most famous products from the brand, so it’s great that this retinol oil is included in the box as it’ll give you a chance to try out an expensive product and see if it suits your skin type without spending a fortune to start with. The Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream is the product I was desperate to get my hands on as soon as it launched, so I’m very keen to try this lightweight hydrator.
The CEO Rapid Flash Brightening Serum is a glow-giving serum packed full of antioxidants that’s designed to work alongside the other products included in the box. The CEO C + E Antioxidant Protect + Repair Moisturiser is a brightening hydrator that will also reduce pigmentation and fights the signs of ageing.
The final product is the Blue Moon Tranquility Cleansing Balm, which is a lovely big 100ml and sounds amazing – packed full of essential oils and blue in colour, it also contains German chamomile, Vanilla and Blue Tansy – I’m very excited to try this.
I think this is a fantastic box and one of those limited editions that deserves all the hype, as all the products have been carefully chosen to give you a really good insight into the brand. I love the fact that all the products are layerable and come together as a routine, so you can try a bit of everything and decide what you like before investing in a full-sized product. I’m also thrilled that they included a full-sized cleanser – that alone would set you back £46. The box is here – link – for £30. Annoyingly it’s showing as sold out – I don’t know if that means they’ll add some more or if it’s never coming back, but I think it’s worth keeping an eye on the page just in case!
