Okay so I am hugely behind on featuring these new collections from Colour:Vibe, mostly because I had such a great selection of colours to pick from that I kept trying to build up the courage to give them a go; I finally did this weekend, realised that the silvers were permanent colours (I had it in my head they were all semi-permanent) and chickened out, mainly because a few weeks ago I was at Charles Worthington having my red hair stripped and returned to a cooler blonde, so I didn’t want to undo all of Jo’s hard work! Having said that, I still really, really wanted to feature the range, as they are extremely cool.
There are two new collections from the Colour:Vibe range, the Vibrance range and the Silvers range. The Vibrance range, as it sounds, is packed full of gorgeous shades of bright and beautiful colour, such as the two pinks above (oh how I wish I had the guts to give them a go – would you look at those pinks!) as well as other great shades of purple, coral and blue – the coral is a particularly great choice for now since the colour coral is absolutely everywhere this year, so expect lots of coral you can match your hair too. These are all semi-permanent shades that come in one bottle so are really easy to use.
The Silvers are a fantastic range of silvery shades that I think are such a clever way to do silver. There are six shades and they’re all takes on the very trendy silver hair look that will be going nowhere anytime soon, so think blue-tinged silver in Vintage Denim, deep, grungy silver in Charcoal and a lilac-hued silver in Amethyst Shadow. These are so clever and fun – I’d like them to do something similar in a range for blondes please!
Each colourant set from the Silvers range comes in an easy-to-use format, containing a deep conditioner, two colourants that you mix together, gloves and instructions, so all pretty standard stuff. There’s a big emphasis on conditioning in this range so presumably that means you end up with hair that’s not only vibrant in colour, but well conditioned too.
One thing I can vouch for is the Purple Toning Conditioner, which I just used this weekend and was really impressed with. I use a LOT of toning products as I love ashy hair but I have hair that wants to be as warm as the sun, so I’m always using lots of toning shampoos and conditioners to address this. The conditioners are usually wishy-washy pastel takes on a toner, but this one is a strong pop of bluey purple, so if you’re serious about toning your blonde, using this after a toning shampoo is the way to go. I’m going to try and pick up the matching shampoo soon, so I’ll share my thoughts in a post as soon as I do.
The Vibrance range is £5.99 each, whilst the Silvers are £7.99. I also note they have a great little range of Conditioning Shampoo-in Colours for £2.99 a pop that look right up my street – I’m very impressed with this whole range, as I think it’s clocked the need for affordable, effective and fun colourants. Find the whole range at Boots here – link.
I can’t believe how affordable everything this! I’ve not heard of this brand before, but I’d love to try the colourants xx
