The January Birchbox was really quite something…The February 2019 Birchbox is less so, but still not terrible, although there’s nothing here that I’m majorly excited about. Surprise, surprise, it’s Valentine’s themed and the Birchbox February 2019 box is a collaboration with Not On The High Street (providers of gifts) and is attractively presented in a lovely box with a “Let Love Grow” theme.
The February 2019 Birchbox contents contains a bit of everything, with a couple of make-up bits, a couple of bath and body bits and a perfume sample that’s a really good size – no teeny, tiny vials of free-at-the-fragrance-counter perfume here!
The Philosophy Pure Grace Nude Rose EDT is such a lovely fragrance (check out my full review here) so I’m really happy to see such a generously sized sample included in the box. The Luxie 205 Tapered Blending Dreamcatcher is a handy inclusion in the box, since it’s the sort of brush everyone who wears make-up would likely use. This month we’re getting one of two shades of the LOC Liquid Shimmer Shadow, Eclipse or Moonlight, which is an easy-to-wear eyeshadow that could probably be used as a highlighter too.
The Coco & Eve Like a Virgin Super Nourishing Coconut & Fig Hair Masque sounds dreamy and the sample size is generous too. The final product is the Anatomicals Shower Gel – I always struggle to get excited about a shower gel (unless it taps into one of my fragrance weaknesses, like jasmine) but this is a handy size and great for travel. Find the February Birchbox here – link – where prices start at £10 a month plus £2.95 P+P. I also note that new subscribers this month get a free The Beauty Crop Eyeshadow Palette (use code “latte” at checkout) which looks like a really fab freebie!
I feel like this is one of their better boxes, especially with the pretty Luxie makeup brush! xx
