The Lanolips Tinted Balm in the shade Rhubarb (there are now three other shades) is one of the most universally flattering, do-it-all lip products I’ve ever had in my kit; not only is it incredibly nourishing, it’s also a beautiful, warming shade that gives your whole face a lift, plus it contains an SPF30, so it’s one of those amazing products that I always have a few of to make sure I never run out. Lanolips really do make some amazing products, so I was very excited to try the new Lanolips Hydrating Lip Luminisers when they launched last year.
The Lanolips Hydrating Lip Luminisers promise to be “lipstick for a lip balm girl” which is me all over, as I loved a good tinted lip balm, and I’ll always favour a really hydrating lip product over anything else. These Lip Luminisers are basically really rich lip balms with a hint of colour and a touch of shimmer too, so the finish is incredible flattering and very wearable.
The two shades are Beach Pop – a medium pinky red and Desert Glow, which is more of a browny nude. I much prefer Beach Pop as it’s much more flattering on my colourings, plus I will always pick a pink or red over a brown. The Desert Glow shade isn’t really up my street, but it’s definitely not a heavy, muted brown, so it’s still a flattering colour and great for anyone who favours true nudes over pinky nudes. These are £13 each which is about right for a product that provides such a good treatment for lips alongside a hint of colour. Don’t be afraid of the shimmer aspect, as there’s just enough in there to give a little bit of light and shine, you would struggle to see the individual shimmery bits unless looking really closely – I made sure to spread out the product in the swatches above so you could see the tiny shimmer. The Lanolips Hydrating Lip Luminisers are pretty, wearable, nourishing and absolutely lovely.
