I briefly shared my thoughts on the No7 Laboratories Cica-Rescue Skin Paste in my feature on Cica skincare here, but I wanted to give this a full review as it really is a fantastic product that deserves it’s own post. The No7 Laboratories Cica-Rescue Skin Paste is a really interesting product that’s unusual to find on the high street and certainly isn’t the norm for the No7 skincare line, so I hope they intend to add more K-Beauty inspired products like this one.
The No7 Laboratories Cica-Rescue Skin Paste is designed to sooth and nourish sensitive and reactive skin, so it’s the sort of product that really any could benefit from having in their kit. It’s key ingredient is Centella Asiatica which is a herb known for it’s soothing, restoring properties. The mask itself is kind of like a fairly thick, creamy paste (although I always think the word “paste” suggests a grittiness and that isn’t the case here) that you apply with the supplied spatula and leave to settle in for five minutes, before massaging it in, then you can remove any reside with a tissue.
I find the No7 Laboratories Cica-Rescue Skin Paste extremely effective for reducing redness and a great product for anytime I’ve overdone it on the retinols or acids; at the moment, I’m introducing a higher strength of retinol and my skin is a bit sensitive, so using this once or twice a week really takes away the sting. Even though this is quite a thick product that you technically leave on overnight (I know you remove the residue, but there’s definitely still a film there) I haven’t found this to clog my pores and my skin looks and feels noticeably calmer the following morning. It isn’t cheap at £18, but Boots often have it in a 3for2 which is how I managed to pick mine up and there’s also the same promotion running now.
This sounds like a product that I would love as my skin can be quite reactive. I need to pick up some holiday toiletries so will check if my local store has this xx
