Elemis Pro-Collagen Energising Marine Cleanser

Elemis have had lots of exciting new releases lately, with not one, but TWO new cleansers, the first of which is the amazing sounding Superfood AHA Glow Cleansing Butter (honestly, doesn’t the name alone make you want to smother your face in it?) and the second one is the Elemis Pro-Collagen Energising Marine Cleanser which I’m sharing with you today.

Foaming cleansers are controversial, but I think the right foaming cleanser can be a really lovely product, especially when it’s sooo hot and my face just feels constantly oily and sweaty; a well-formulated wash-off cleanser will leave skin feeling clean without any stripping, soothed without any upset and just generally balanced.  I also tend to favour foaming cleansers for my morning cleanse, as I use a lot of night time skincare that can leave quite a film come the morning.

The Elemis Pro-Collagen Energising Marine Cleanser has the “Elemis” fragrance, which any Elemis fans will know straight away; it’s that lively, uplifting scent that smells like facials at fancy hotels.  The product itself is a gel formula that feels light and cleansing, with the foam produced feeling creamy and actually quite nourishing, strangely!

The cleanser is apparently designed to deliver hydration whilst removing excess oils and impurities, which to me suggests that this is probably a cleanser designed for those who lean towards a more oily complexion.  Having said that, this is a great choice for anyone at the moment who wakes up with a film of sweat thanks to this lovely heatwave – the Elemis Pro-Collagen Energising Marine Cleanser will whip that film off without causing any dryness or tightness.
