After a rather disappointing, albeit beautifully presented, February Glossybox (I still can’t believe they included a plastic Gua Sha…) the Glossybox March 2021 is back with a bang! The theme is “Pretty Pleasures” and the box contains four full-sized products, with one ‘lucky dip’ product from NYX being either full or deluxe sized. The Glossybox March 2021 contents is really good and I was genuinely excited by the products, so let’s have a look at what I got:
Figs & Rouge Satin Soft Blurring Primer & Finishing Fix – this is a really interesting product to kick the box off as it’s aimed at those with shiny skin, so it’s designed to help blur and minimise oiliness. It contains “unique pore minimising and anti-blemish properties” which all sounds very mysterious, but I’m all for a multi-tasking product. It also contains Hyaluronic Acid so presumably this stops it looking too dry.
Nails Inc Palace Gardens Nails Polish – I’m never unhappy to see a bit of Nails Inc included in the box! This is a kind of pale dove grey; I love grey nails and I think they can look so chic, although I tend to go for darker greys personally, it’ll be interesting to see how this looks on.
Beautaniq Beauty Nourishing Mascara – I’m a total fusspot when it comes to mascaras and I’m very difficult to please, so I look forward to giving this one a try. I love the fact that it contains ingredients designed to care for lashes, which is a really neglected part of the face when it comes to care, don’t you think?
So Eco Complexion Sponge – I always use a sponge during base application; sometimes to apply everything, other times just to buff out what I’ve already applied as I’m a firm believer that base products need to be pressed into the skin to give a more natural finish. I have my favourites when it comes to sponges (almost exclusively the SportFx one) but I’m always open to trying new ones too.
NYX Professional Makeup Lucky Dip – this is the star of the show for me, even though I got a product I will probably never use (the Born to Glow Illuminating Powder in a dark bronzey gold shade – definitely not a look I can work, sadly) I just love the idea of a lucky dip from a brand like NYX as I think we’ll all be excited to see what we get and I particularly love the fact that most of us will get something different. This sort of thing, I think, only really works with a popular brand, but I hope they do something like this more often as it adds a really fun element.
