Temple Spa are one of those lovely brands that are so well suited to those of us who like to really indulge in the pampering elements of skincare. If you’re like me and you love a good mask or a buttery cleanser, Temple Spa have you got you covered. If you’re new to the brand and want a product to start with, their In The Beginning Cleanser is the perfect example of a product that does a brilliant job at bringing the spa into your home. Today I’m sharing with you my thoughts on their newest launch, the Temple Spa Most Revealing Glowing Skin Oxygen Peel.
Ignoring the annoyingly long name, the Temple Spa Most Revealing Glowing Skin Oxygen Peel is a fantastic product that feels like it’s been really fine-tuned to make sure it delivers results without any of the uncomfortableness you often get with treatments that include the word “peel.” The Temple Spa Most Revealing Glowing Skin Oxygen Peel contains Vitamin C and Sodium Hyaluronate (very similar to Hyaluronic Acid, just different in molecular size) alongside some lovely alpha and beta hydroxy acids such as Glycolic, Malic and Lactic. These all come together to provide a product designed to gently smooth and exfoliate skin without any irritation.
The Temple Spa Most Revealing Glowing Skin Oxygen Peel is a bubble treatment, meaning that it fizzes and pops on the skin to (theoretically) push oxygen into the skin and help the other ingredients provide more benefit. I’ve used a few of these bubbling masks and I do really like them, but they are definitely an acquired taste as they feel a lot like lots of things moving around your skin which may or may not appeal! I will say that this offering from Temple Spa is one of the more gentle versions as some of them can be quite aggressive.
You use the Temple Spa Most Revealing Glowing Skin Oxygen Peel by applying two pumps (kudos to Temple Spa for specifying how many pumps, I hate it when brands are vague) that you work around the face and then leave to fizz. Once the fizzing stops you can then rinse it away and that’s the treatment done. Even though this is an acid-based mask, there is no stinging or tingling, nor was there any redness after use (for me at least – always do a patch test if in doubt) but skin definitely looked and felt noticeably smoother and brighter after use. As it’s so gentle and skin doesn’t feel stripped at all, you could definitely get away with using this a few times a week.
As mentioned earlier, my favourite Temple Spa product is the In The Beginning cleanser, but the new Temple Spa Most Revealing Glowing Skin Oxygen Peel is a close second. Find it here – link – for £40.
