There are a few hair care products that I think are just non-negotiable, absolute essentials and an Aquis hair towel or turban is definitely one of these things as they are so good for drastically reducing the potentially damaging impact of drying your hair. I think we all know that hair is at its weakest when wet, so anything we can do to add extra protection whilst we move our hair from the cleaning phase to the dry phase is so important, and Aquis towels are fantastic for assisting with this process.
There are quite a few options now available from the Aquis range, with an array of colours and several different types depending on your preference. I have both the towel and several of the turbans, but I definitely prefer the turbans as they make it so easy to just wrap up your hair and pin it in place (they have a loop and a button system to keep everything up) but the towels are almost as easy as you just need to tuck them in. I have some of the original Aquis turbans (they are a bit of an investment at around the £30 mark, but they wash-up beautifully and last for absolutely ages) and I was recently sent the new Aquis Copper Sure Rapid Dry Hair Wrap which has quickly become a firm favourite; just when you thought perfection couldn’t be improved, along comes this bad boy!
The Aquis Copper Sure Rapid Dry Hair Wrap is a little bit different to my other turbans as, first of all, it’s larger, so if you have long hair like mine that needs to be tucked into regular towels, this will make things a bit easier. it’s also slightly more elasticated around the edging, making it a lot easier to scoop all your hair into the turban and keep it there, as it creates a kind of bowl for the hair to sit in before you twist it and wrap it up.
The Copper Sure element helps to repel bacteria so the towel stays fresh for longer. I personally find them to stay fresh for a good few hair washes before they need to go for a wash themselves; I actually wash and dry them with my other laundry and find this to be absolutely fine.
I used the Aquis Copper Sure Rapid Dry Hair Wrap last night and was very aware of just how much water is absorbs. I took it off about half an hour after washing my hair and you could literally wring out the water, whilst my hair itself was about 60% dry. This means that it’ll take me a lot less time to actually dry it with potentially damaging heat products, which makes a huge difference to the overall quality of hair as the less you damage it, the healthier it’ll stay, obviously, but doing lots of little things like changing over to a towel like this add up to keep hair in good condition.
The Aquis Copper Sure Rapid Dry Hair Wrap is £30 and you can find it at Space NK here – link.
