Happy Birthday Glossybox UK, who are turning 10 this month! I actually remember purchasing Glossybox when it first launched, then in April 2012 I was sent my first Glossybox as a PR sample, and I’ve been writing about them ever since! Here was my first press post (I lost earlier posts when I moved my blog) and I’m pleased to report that both my writing and photography have come a long way…
The Glossybox August 2021 contents are pretty decent, with five beauty products, plus a drink (random but it looks yummy so I’m okay with it) and I feel the product mix is varied enough that most people will find at least one or two bits they’re happy with. Here’s what I had in my August 2021 Glossybox:
Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream – this is a great product to include as everyone loves a bit of Elemis, but it’s a rather tiny 15ml. It’s still worth £30 as Marine Cream is not cheap!
NCLA So Rich Birthday Cake Cuticle Oil – this is just cute and sparkly and the sort of product that I’m sure everyone could or should be using; my cuticles are rubbish at the mo, so they definitely need this.
Steve Laurent Celebration Eyeshadow Palette – this is a lovely palette containing nine, mostly warm shades with a good mix of finishes.
Lottie London Ombre Blush in Haze – this is so pretty! What is it about an ombre effect that always grabs my attention?! I can’t imagine the ombre will make any difference to the product itself as it’s far too small to use as individual shades, but it’s very pretty and a cute inclusion.
Frank Body Anti-Drama Facemask – this appears to be a charcoal mask with lots of additional soothing ingredients, so I’m looking forward to trying this and I’m very into the packaging too.
There’s also the random can of Ocean Spray Sparking Pink Cranberry, which honestly just sounds so good that I am very much here for it and will be giving it a go this weekend.
Glossybox August 2021 is available now, with prices starting at £11.75. Find it here – link.
Disclosure: unpaid ad – PR Sample
I used to have a Glossybox subscription during it’s early days. It was a launched in the UK in May 2011 rather than August though. https://www.supergorgeous.co.uk/2011/05/my-glossybox-arrived.html
I am going to have to check this out!
