I have been a long-term fan of all things relating to LED Light Therapy as I think it’s such an amazing development in skincare that literally everyone can benefit from. It involves using specifically coloured lights set at particular strengths and wavelengths to address various skin issues and there really is a light for everyone, but no light is quite as effective and beneficial for all skin types as red light therapy, which is why Current Body, the experts in LED Light Therapy, have built an entire range that utilises the impressive benefits of red light, and they really do have a product for every need. I’ve been lucky enough to be sent a few of their products, so I just want to share a bit of an intro to the range, to hopefully give you a better idea of what’s available.
Kicking things off with the Teeth Whitening Kit (£109, or £92.65 using code GEEK15 here – link) not only helps whiten and brighten teeth, it also encourages blood circulation to maintain healthy gums, and can help reverse the causes of sensitive teeth.
It comes with a set of teeth whitening gels (you can buy replacements to top-up your treatments) but the device itself can actually be used without the gels if you want to continue to boost the health of your gums, making this a fabulous device for promoting dental health and care.
The LED Lip Perfector (£149, or £126.65 with code GEEK15 here – link) is designed to treat both the lips themselves and the surrounding skin, utilising 4 wavelengths (amber, red, deep red and infrared) to give the whole area a thorough treatment.
It’s designed to help with things like smile lines, deflated lips and smoker lines, and it can also enhance the effect of lip fillers. It takes 3 minutes a day and you should start seeing results in 8 weeks.
The LED Eye Perfector (£199, or 169.19 with code GEEK15 here – link) is currently my favourite device and I’ll be sharing a more detailed review very soon. Much like the aforementioned LED Lip Perfector, this is also a targeted treatment that you wear like a pair of glasses for just 3 minutes a day and you should anticipate results within 8 weeks, although I started seeing early results very quickly.
Finally, I have the LED Light Therapy Mask (£279, or £237.15 with code GEEK15 here – link) which I haven’t pictured here, but I will be sharing a more detailed review soon. This mask is the perfect all-rounder if you just want to commit to a full face of care. You only need a 10 minute treatment five times a week, and it really does target a number of concerns such as acne, pigmentation, fine lines and general inflammation. If it’s good enough for Emily in Paris, it’s good enough for me!
