I’ve been lucky enough to be familiar with QMS Medicosmetics for quite some time, having tried a few of their products in the past and knowing them as one of the first brands (to me) who focused heavily on the importance of collagen in skincare, utilising leading skincare ingredients that are produced by our bodies (such as Hyaluronic Acid) to address the causes of ageing skin. The QMS Medicosmetics Collagen System 3-Step Routine Set is a great introduction to the range, containing three of their key products to boost your existing skincare routine. Here’s a closer look at the three products:
First up is the Day Collagen which is, as the name suggests, a product suitable for daytime use. It’s a serum with a medium thickness, creamy gel-like consistency that plays well with other skincare. It smooths and aids hydration, whilst helping to boost the skin’s defences against free radicals.
The Night Collagen is a slightly denser serum that plays equally well with other skincare and works in harmony with the skin’s nightly regeneration, whilst also boosting hydration.
The Active Exfoliant 11% is actually my favourite of the trio as I do love a good acid treatment and this one is very good! It’s used similarly to as a mask, rather than a serum, so you apply a thin layer and then leave it for 10-15 minutes before removing and applying your skincare.
The lead acids in this are Glycolic, Lactic and Citric, but there’s also a really good mix of calming and soothing ingredients making it a very tolerable treatment. If you think 11% might be a bit too strong for you, they do a weaker 7% formula.
