I only received these at the end of last week, but I had to get a blog post up as these are very much my kind of lip product. The Clarins Lip Perfector Glows tick all of my boxes when it comes to the sort of lip products that I tend to reach for; easy, flattering, comfortable, hydrating and low-maintenance, these are beautiful formulas that can slot into any kind of make-up look.
The Lip Perfector Glows are basically do-it-all lip products that help with hydration, provide plumpness, a hint of colour (that can be built-up) and also provide skincare benefits thanks to the inclusion of a peptide complex, alongside shea butter and mango butter. As you would expect, they feel absolutely gorgeous on the lips and the fluffy applicator helps to apply and slightly buff the colour in so there are no harsh lines.
The Clarins Lip Perfector Glow comes in six shades:
Translucent Glow (pictured): colourless, providing a very gentle shimmer to enhance the lips
Soft Pink Glow: traditional baby pink
Peach Glow (pictured): subtle, warm-leaning nude
Pomegranate Glow vibrant, berry-toned red
Fuchsia Glow (pictured): berry-toned pink
Mulberry Glow: deep plum
When I received the three shades (Translucent Glow, Peach Glow and Fuchsia Glow) I presumed that my favourite would be Peach Glow and my least favourite would be Translucent Glow, as Translucent Glow is the sort of shade I’d never normally reach for, but on the lips it is just gorgeous! Whilst the Glows all contain a type of shimmer (Lip Highlighter Complex: to provide luminosity and radiance – but don’t worry, there’s no glitter here!) the finish of the TG shade is almost ethereal, so lips end up looking brighter and plumper but it isn’t obvious why…I can definitely see myself using this shade regularly!
