As of last year, Teddy’s first Christmas, our family have made the policy that we don’t buy anything for anyone other than Teddy at Christmas, meaning we don’t have a lot to worry about when it comes to forgetting presents. Christmas is pretty stressful as it is, yet it can be made much worse when you realise you’ve forgotten a present for someone, so I thought I’d put together a few ideas on things you can purchase as last minute gifts, most of which are available immediately online. Obviously it’s ‘Voucher Central’, but if chosen wisely, it can still make for a great gift.
Beauty Box Subscriptions
I posted about the Birchbox sub offer earlier this week, and whilst it’s too late to have the gift itself delivered in time for Christmas, a beauty box subscription really does make for a great gift. Deal Vouchers
Groupon are probably the most well known voucher service, but there are a few others too and you can either purchase a specific deal, or purchase a voucher for them to pick their own deal when they fancy it. Groupon is here – link – Wowcher here – link – and nCrowd here – link.
At-Home Treatment Voucher
Mobile beauty has made a bit of a comeback recently and consequently there are lots of great services available that will give you your favourite treatments in your own home – what a gift! I’m only really familiar with the London based ones like MILK Beauty – link – and Perfect 10 – link – but there does seem to be a UK wide search engine specifically for mobile beauty here – link – where you can find a nearby beautician and arrange a voucher or book a treatment.
Shop Vouchers
Yeah, it’s a bit of a cop-out really, but sometimes it’s just easier for all involved to throw money at the problem so the person you’re buying for can decide what they fancy – it’s also a great choice for those who are particularly tricky to buy for. Boots have a printable e-voucher here – link – however I can’t seem to find anything printable or e-mailable (it’s a word…) for many other sites, so you might have to do a bit of shopping around. Or just be lazy and go with Boots, which is almost certainly what I would do…
Charity Donations
It’s the gift that keeps on giving, although that very much depends on the recipient; a donation to charity on behalf of someone is not only extremely easy to do, it’s also rather lovely. If you want something more tangible then you can also adopt an animal on their behalf which will then mean they’ll get sent goodies and updates.
