Ahhh flowers. I used to receive them all the time when I was younger, yet I haven’t received them for quite some time (*sigh*) up until recently when Debenhams very kindly sent me a bouquet to showcase their Valentine’s offerings. Just to clarify, I don’t think Debenhams and I are going to be romantically linked anytime soon, but when it comes to Valentine’s, I have to take what I can get.
The flowers picture are kind of what I’d call traditional with a twist; they’re roses, which are Valentinesy and romantic, but they’re in the less traditional shades of white and lilac, so they’re not the full on cliche of red roses. Believe it or not, these actually arrived in a cardboard box by post which was interesting!! I’m aware this is overly sentimental and probably makes me sound a little insane, but I felt quite sorry for the flowers being stored in a cardboard box and carted around with all the regular post.
Anyway! There are some very pretty floral offerings at Debenhams Flowers, covering all sorts of levels of romances, whether you’ve been together a few weeks, a few months or a few years. The prices are pretty decent too, with a single red rose in a vase starting at £14.99. However, do the right thing gentlemen and ignore the floral options in favour of the chocolate bouquets, because, as the saying goes, happiness is £35’s worth of Ferrero Rocher presented in Valentine’s wrapping.
