Makeup Revolution Haul

There have been a few things that Makeup Revolution have released recently that I’ve really wanted to pick-up, but I’m never near a Superdrug, so when I saw there was a voucher code for 20% off a couple of weeks ago, I thought I’d take advantage and try some of the new arrivals.  I ended up buying five things; three palettes and two tools.

The first palette is the Corrector Palette which I reviewed recently here.  I bought another as I’ve hit pan on the yellow and green shades, and as it’s something I use every time I wear make-up, I thought I should stock-up.  It’s a total star of a palette with correcting colours for every issue, plus it’s a mega bargain at £6 here -link. The second palette is the one I’ve wanted for quite some time, which is the Ultra Contour Palette, a collection of eight contouring powders.  I’ve got quite a few cream-based contour products, but as I’m wearing a higher coverage foundation recently I wanted to invest in something powder-based to go on top, and I’ve been coveting this one for a while.  It’s £8 here – link.

The next palette is the one that started my need to put together a haul, which is the New-Trals vs Neutrals Palette.  I love berry shades for the eye, as if done right, they can look absolutely amazing – especially on blue eyes as the warmer tones make the blue colour pop.  This is a lovely collection of various different berry-leaning shades, alongside some more nude colours with the inclusion of a great, neutral brown base colour at the top.  I’m going to enjoy having a play with this gorgeous palette, so I’ll follow-up with a review soon.  Its here for £6.99 – link.

Finally on to the extras, starting with the Pro Cleanse Brush Tool, which will hopefully speed up the brush cleaning process, which let’s face it, is a bit of a faff.  There are some very expensive brush cleaner type products like this, so I’m hoping this’ll be just as effective – chances are it will be and it’s £4.99 here – link.  There are three sponges in the Makeup Revolution range, a soft, a hard and a Pro Blend.  I went for the Soft Advanced Complexion Expert Sponge and I have to say, quality-wise it feels so much like the Beauty Blender that I think I’ll be investing in the other sponges soon to compare.  The soft and hard sponges are £5.99 and the Pro Blend is £4.99, and you can find the soft one here – link.
