I first encountered the Philosophy Pure Grace Summer fragrance near the start of the year, and I was so captivated by it that I doused a press release in it and spent my whole journey home sniffing away at the scented paper. Philosophy do some of the loveliest perfumes, but they often get overlooked in favour of their skincare – the next time you’re near a Philosophy counter I really recommend familiarising yourself with their fragrances as I bet you’ll find something you like! I personally absolutely love Amazing Grace, so consequently there’s always an open bottle in my perfume wardrobe. Philosophy fragrances are also great for layering as they usually launch as a set of shower gels and body lotions alongside the perfume itself, so if find a scent you love, you can really surround yourself in it and build up layers that will last.
Pure Grace Summer is the perfect Summer fragrance; light, zingy, fresh and a little creamy, it opens with a burst of fresh citrus which quickly settles into the coconut and cocoa. Other notes include vanilla, sandalwood, rose and musk, all of which create a truly lovely fragrance that really does encapsulate all that is warm and summery. This is the sort of fragrance that you might wear on a holiday and find it constantly reminds you of your time away on every returning spritz; it’s a very gentle, fun and enjoyable fragrance that will keep you feeling sunny, even if the typically British weather has decided to take a break from warmer temperatures. Annoyingly this is a limited edition fragrance which I’m struggling to track down online in the UK, although I have found it on Sephora here – link. I have found a set on QVC which includes the fragrance and the scrub for £40, which is very good considering the fragrance alone is usually around the £35 mark; the set is here – link.
