It is like the season of the foundation right now, as there are soooo many new launches, many of which are great and some of which I’ll be sharing with you very soon, but I wanted to kick things off with the fantastic Clarins Everlasting Youth Fluid foundation, because it really is a superstar product that you need to get your hands on ASAP.
The Clarins Everlasting Youth Fluid definitely sounds like an anti-ageing product, which is a shame, as it might put off younger customers, but if you like a really flattering, glowy finish, surprisingly high coverage in a formula that is long-lasting and contains ingredients that are good for your skin, this is the foundation for you! As I said, I have quite a few new ones to try at the moment, but this is by far the one I reach for most.
I went for the shade Porcelain, which is shade 102.5 and is the 4th palest – I went for this shade as I have previous Clarins foundations in the same shade. As you can see, it’s a relatively good match, but I think I would’ve been better going a little bit paler, as I always prefer a foundation that’s too pale that I can warm up with bronzer as I think the overall look is more natural since that then offers a little more colour depth, rather than one block of colour. However, if I skip the bronzer with this then it’s a great match.
The formula is just so lovely and flattering and you don’t need a lot to achieve a good finish. As you can see, my main issue at the moment is redness, and the Clarins Everlasting Youth Fluid took that right down, making my skin look a lot healthier and even. This is a hydrating foundation, so if you’re prone to a lot of shine, then a matte primer underneath should help. I didn’t need a primer and I did use a touch of powder to keep things in place. This foundation promises to “firm and illuminate” – I have no idea about the former, but the illumination is mega; this really is the sort of foundation that doesn’t just cover your flaws, it really enhances your skin and makes everything look a lot more healthy. I’m definitely a fan of the Clarins Everlasting Youth Fluid foundation…can you tell? It contains SPF15 which is fine, although I use a higher SPF underneath to err on the side of caution, and it’s available on 24 shades, some of which go very pale, which is excellent for those of us who struggle to get a shade pale enough. It’s £35 for 30ml and that should last you a good while.
This foundation looks beautiful on you. Gives your skin a lovely glow.

I hated clarins since they discontinued my favorite skin illusion foundation. I hated the new version of skin illusion too. I don’t know if I want to try this, maybe, if I get a sample
Ha ha, oh dear! I would recommend grabbing a sample as this is really worth checking out xx
I really love this foundation and I have my Mam using it now too! xx
