Whilst the main focus of their e-mail appears to be on the aesthetic changes (website, blog, box, etc), they have also mentioned some of the brands that have appeared in the French Jolie Box which include some impressive names like Benefit, By Terry (if they feature a By Terry foundation sample in their first JolieBox, I will be forever indebted to them), Lancome, Essie, Caudalie, Kiehls, REN and Phyto. I don’t think there’s one brand mentioned in that list that I wouldn’t want to try a sample from, so it’s all sounding good so far.
To give us an insight into what to expect, they also suggested we check out the French Jolie Box site, which is obviously in French and as je ne parles pas Francais, it was a little tricky to work my way around the site, but thankfully there were lots of pretty pictures to keep my appetite whetted:
As you can see, the November French box was a bit gorgeous. Included was:
- Kusmi Tea (a detox, cleansing tea flavoured with lemon and lemon grass)
- Panama Paris “Miss” Tweezers (one of two different designs)
- Essie Nail Polish
- REN Revitalising Night Cream
- Phyto Phytobaume Hydration
- Weleda Regenerative Oil
Quite a tasty list, I’m sure you’ll agree. There’s certainly some great brands featured and I like the fact that there’s a tool and a make-up item (ish, nail polish is make-up, right?) included so it’s a decent variety.
One other thing I’d like to mention is the fact that Laura Mercier is also hinted at in the images on the website. The idea of receiving such well known, high value samples gets me very excited. I realise that the idea of beauty boxes is to introduce the subscribers to new, possibly unknown brands, but if a box will deliver a collection of samples that cover both the unknown brands and the well known brands then it’ll get my vote.
Lastly, I’ll leave you with a few mentions of the brands that have featured in previous boxes and these include Bioderma (absolutely gagging to try things from this brand as I’ve heard such amazing things about them), Dermalogica, Helena Rubenstein, Lush, Talika (of eyelash serum fame) and Une. More info about previous brands can be found here.
I’m really excited to receive my first JolieBox UK, I just hope it lives up to my expectations…..What do you think? Are we all set for a box that’ll blow the competitors away? Or do you think we’re all gearing ourselves up for disappointment?
UPDATE: If you fancy seeing what’s in the first ever UK JolieBox, have a look at my review post here.
Oooh, sounds good. I might be tempted to subscribe to this one! I know the idea is to try new companies and products but it would be fab to see these companies in a beauty box.
I’m so excited. My gcse French just about got me through their website and the brand are amazing! I really hope we get some amazing products for our Xmas boxes 🙂 xxx
Thanks for your comments guys, it does sound promising doesn’t it? I really hope it turns out to be as good as it sounds! xx
