Up until now, the majority of my gift guides for Christmas 2012 have been heavily (if not completely!) make-up focused, so now’s the time to share some skincare love. Elemis are pretty fab at putting together Christmas kits as there is a massive selection, covering every price range and starting from £9 for some lovely little stocking fillers. I’ve selected a few of my favourites that hopefully will meet all price ranges.
In this kit you get six 100ml bathing and showering products. Everything is included and this would be an amazing kit for anyone who loves indulging in a pampering bath and making me very jealous (I only have a shower, it’s pants) for £35.
This is at the much higher end of the price bracket and I’m mentioning it because I had a coffee with my cousin today who swears by the Pro-Collagen range, and she has *amazing* skin; she’s in her forties but looks about my age which isn’t fair, but whatcha gonna do? Apparently it’s down to this so it’s quite obviously a worthy investment. This kit contains Pro-Radiance Cream Cleanser, Soothing Apricot Toner, Pro-Collagen Marine Cream, Pro-Collagen Oxygenating Night Cream, Pro-Collagen Advanced Eye Treatment and Pro-Collagen Quartz Lift Mask, all of which are full sized other than the Oxygenating Night Cream which is 30ml, and the Marine Cream which is super-sized. Not cheap at £195, but the saving is an impressive £120!
My candle obsession is showing no signs of waning, and this candle is just. so. pretty. It’s seasonal too and includes Vanilla, so I’m pretty much sold on the idea of a Christmassy candle that’ll not only help me get my Spa on, but also look obscenely pretty on my dressing table. It’s £30.
Here’s a chance to give a bit more than the average gift, as this is Elemis’ Breast Cancer Awareness product. The kit contains the Pro-Collagen Marine Cream, Pro-Collagen Lifting Treatment Neck and Bust and Quiet Mind Relaxing Bath Elixir. This is £32.50 although the value of the kit is £70.50, so here’s another great saving to be made.
I have this and it’s the perfect non-skincare gift that’s still pampering and indulgent; the Temple Balm is especially fantastic – I won’t go into too much detail as I’ll be reviewing soon. In this kit you get Skin Nourishing Shower Cream, Skin Nourishing Body Lotion, Quiet Mind Temple Balm and Treat Your Feet Foot Cream and this costs £25.
Obviously in the land of make believe I’d receive the Pro-Collagen Queen kit, even though it would be wasted on me since I can’t actually use any other skincare at the moment, but my candle addiction needs to be constantly fed, so I’d have to say the uber-prettiness of the Starlight Spa Candle.
