I’m not normally one to get particularly excited about packaging, but would you just look at this months Glossybox box? It’s black with multi-coloured lip prints to acknowledge Valentine’s Day and I absolutely love it; it’s the sort of thing I’d see in a store and purchase for storage so I thought it was definitely worth a special mention…more like these please Glossybox!
Pleasingly, the contents is a big improvement on last months disappointing collection. There’s a good mix of pretty, girly goodies that I think most people would be happy to see upon opening. Here are what featured in mine in order of favourites:
Ciate Paint Pot
Man I love Ciate! I love their shade range and I adore their presentation with the cute little bow on the front. The shade I received is Raspberry Collins which I won’t talk too much about as I have it on my nails and I’ll be doing a NOTD post shortly. This is full-sized and my favourite of the bunch. These are £9.
Maybelline Master Kajal Kohl Pencil
Another full-sized product, I’ve been trying to find a reason to justify buying myself this for quite some time, and now I don’t need to! I’m a big Maybelline fan, so I’ll always be happy to see a product from them in a beauty box. I’ve just seen that this is available in a god shade too which I’m *definitely* going to be picking up soon. The shade I got is Pitch Black and it’s £5.99.
Eldora Handmade Lashes
One day I will get the hang of strip lash application…ONE DAY. These natural looking lashes from Eldora appear to be a good place to start, so I will endeavor to yet again try and apply them soon and if I get anywhere with them I shall let you know. Eldora seem to have been featured in boxes before, so I don’t think anyone will be overly excited to see them again, but they’re nice enough and I was sent H103 which are £4.95.
Toni & Guy Creative: Stick It Up Gum
No reason this product falls so low on my list other than the fact that I can’t see myself using it much as I tend not to put together styles that need a lot of fixing or holding. I will however be handing this to my mum who likes to sport a quiff of late, thus proving yet again that she is considerably cooler than me. This is also full-sized and costs £7.19.
Nougat London Sparkling Body Shimmer
Hang on a minute; it’s pink, it’s shimmery, it’s girly scented, yet it’s at the bottom of my list…there’s something wrong here, surely? Actually no, I just can’t seem to muster any excitement for a body shimmer and it’s nothing I’ve never found very exciting. There’s only one I’ve ever found enticing and that’s the Benefit one you apply with a puff, but apart from that, body lotions – shimmering or otherwise – just don’t do it for me. This is £14 and I think the one in the box is full-sized, if not then it’s extremely generously sized.
As it’s Valentine’s themed, we also received a bar of chocolate from Lindt which is awesome and a very welcome addition to the box. I really like this months offering; I absolutely adore the box design and I can either make use of the contents or I know someone who can, so it’s a thumbs up from me. I cancelled my Glossybox subscription last month so I was expecting this month’s to be absolutely amazing to make me regret that decision, and it is a lot better than the past few months like you say but there’s nothing in it that I’m gutted I missed. That box design is so pretty though, well done to Glossybox for that x

I think the main thing with beauty subs is that they have to provide good value for money; if you’re not seeing products that you really, really want then they’re not worth the investment to be honest xx
