Benefit recently launched a new product for brows called Gimme Brow, which is a brow volumising fibre gel designed to thicken brows in the same way fibre mascaras are aimed at thickening lashes. It looks and sounds pretty much like any other type of tinted brow mascara that’s already available, but certainly from my own experience and from reading other reviews, it is much more impressive than expected.
Benefit Gimme Brow is available in two shades – light/medium and medium/deep – both of which I can use as they’re extremely natural in finish, it just depends on what sort of definition I need. The product attaches to existing brows and thickens them whilst also filling in gaps with a tint, leaving brows looking markedly thicker and more defined but still very natural. Usually with brow products you have to either go for natural and barely noticeable, or over-the-top definition that looks great but extremely unnatural, so this offering from Benefit has nicely bridged the gap between the two.
The brush is well designed as it’s small and tapered, which means it doesn’t pick up too much product and is easy to fill in sparser areas with shorter hairs. You can build up product for quite a bit of natural definition or just stick with the one coat if you’re like me and want a bit of help but nothing too major. If you’re a fan of the “no make-up make-up” look then this is a product worth investigating as it really is fab. In the picture below I’m wearing one coat of the light/medium shade on my ‘desperately in need of a thread’ eyebrows!
Benefit Gimme Brow is available now for £17.50 both in store and online in two shades. Head to Benefit here – link – for more info.
