I wrote about Marks and Spencer adding some lovely items to their Spa range here, and now I’m going to tell you about my favourite product that has become a steadfast addition to my nightly ritual.
For some reason, I get a real kick out of the idea of the Pillow Mist; as soon as I read about it I thought it was such a fabulous idea. I think the fact that it’s so unnecessary therefore completely indulgent makes it scream “pampering me time” which is why I like it so much.
It’s a simple idea, you just spray it on your pillow (or your duvet, or your towels, or the dog’s harness….I’ve been experimenting) and after a few seconds, it soaks in and makes your pillow smell welcoming and relaxing. It’s a floral fragrance and the dominant scent is lavender, but thankfully it’s sweetened with something slightly lighter which stops it becoming too antiquated.
The theory is that breathing in the soothing scent will make you more inclined towards a restful sleep. Has it done that for me? I have no idea. All I know is that having scented pillows to rest my weary head on makes me look forward to getting into bed even more so than previously, and it’s fair to say I never thought anything could. Having been a bit poorly over the past couple of days, spraying this on to my pillow almost religiously has made me feel a little bit better and “Pillow Misting” (a term my boyfriend coined) will from now on be a necessity before I go to sleep.
The rest of the range can be found here, and you can buy the Pillow Mist here for £6.50.
