Only Fingers and Toes Manicure Collection: Hydrator, Masque and Dash
A couple of weeks ago I gave you a heads-up on the new Only Fingers and Toe Manicure Collection, a lovely group of products designed to improve your home manicure game. I was sent a few of the products from the range, and I’ve now had a chance to play with them.
Hydrator is a wonderfully rich yet fast-absorbing cuticle oil that’s easy to apply and mostly travel-friendly. It’s a concoction of Sea Blackthorn, Sunflower and Apricot oil in a Vitamin E rich formula that acts quickly to drastically improve the immediate appearance of raggedy cuticles, whilst also softening them effectively so you ca push them down and neaten their overall look. I have awful, awful cuticles so this product is a godsend for me, plus it’s so light and absorbs really quickly, meaning it can be used a couple of times a day (which is apparently how much we’re supposed to be applying oil – who knew?!) without the usual oil smears a’plenty all over furniture and keyboards. It’s £12 here – link.
Dash is my least favourite of the three, but there is a very specific reason for this: I have been ruined for all top coats by the as-yet unbeatable Seche Vite. Dash is a good, quick-drying, very shiny top coat that performs well and provides all the benefits it states. The big advantage this has over Seche Vite is the fact that it’s free from the five main polish nasties (I don’t believe the same can be said for Seche, but do correct me if I’m wrong) so if this is important to you, I’d recommend Dash as a very good top coat. It’s £14 here – link.
Finally, Masque is another fab product from the range, which is a kind of treatment/base coat hybrid. It’s designed to hydrate, nourish and maintain nails, with the formula containing natural keratin. One coat provides a solid, nail-loving base coat, whilst two coats work as a treatment on bare nails. This is a great product to try and use as a treatment every few weeks on bare nails to give them a break, whilst using as a base coat in-between treatments. It’s £16 here – link – with the focus on how this is a great product for weak or damaged nails, but don’t be put off if your nails are in good condition, as this is an ideal product to help you keep them that way!
