I missed out on publishing my thoughts on the Glossybox May 2019 contents, which is a real shame as it was such a great box! The June 2019 Glossybox contents is a seasonal offering, with the theme being “Summer Soiree”. The contents is make-up heavy with three make-up products, a primer and a hair mask, all of which are full-sized, although the hair mask is a sachet.
On the surface, the Glossybox June 2019 contents are pretty exciting and I do love a make-up heavy box, but to be completely honest, this box isn’t really doing it for me and I can’t quite figure out why! I do think, however, that I’m likely to be in the minority as there are some good products in the box, just nothing jumping out at me as especially amazing. Here’s what you get:
Avant Pro Perfecting Collagen Touche Eclat Primer – I’m very into primers at the moment so I’m looking forward to trying this one, which promises to mattify and soften skin, so hopefully this means it’ll create a balance between not too dry or greasy. It’s full-sized and priced at £85, which is a mental price point for a primer, but there you go.
Sleek Makeup Face Form Contouring Palette – subscribers will get one of two shade variants of this, I’m relieved to receive the Light shade. This trio palette contains a blusher, a contour and a highlighter, so really everything you need for a sculpted cheek. This is probably my favourite product in the box.
Meech n Mia Eyeshadow Chubby Stix – this is a very annoying product as it would’ve gone straight into my keep bag due to the fact that it’s an easy-to-apply highlighter, but it’s got one of those annoyingly bad fitting lids that means this will quickly taint and mark everything in its path which is hugely frustrating. What a real shame.
Hask Unwined Deep Conditioner – let’s face it, one thing we’re all thinking our hair care routine needs is more booze, so Hask have come to the rescue…Not really sure why we need a wine-based hair mask, but at the same time I can kind of see what the brand are trying to do and the masks do sound nice. There are three varieties featured in the June 2019 Glossybox so everyone will be getting either the Sauvignon Blanc (pictured), Cabernet Sauvignon or the Brut Rose.
ModelCo Lip Creme Matte – this is last on my list, purely because it’s not for me – matte in finish and a warm nude, it’s literally the antithesis of the sort of lip product I go for, but it’s still quite a nice inclusion in the box, and if this is your sort of shade/formula then fab.
The value of the Glossybox June 2019 contents is undeniable, with the total coming in at £130, so I think a lot of subscribers will be very happy!
