Elemis Superfood AHA Glow Cleansing Butter
Elemis have had some very exciting launches this year, but if you’re like me, the ones you’ll want to focus on most of all are the cleansers – I love cleansers and I particularly love Elemis cleansers, so I was very keen to get my hands on the Elemis Superfood AHA Glow Cleansing Butter when I first heard about it!
The Elemis Superfood AHA Glow Cleansing Butter is one of those beautiful products that really makes cleansing a joy; I love the whole experience of cleansing as I find it very therapeutic to spend a few minutes working lovely textured oils, butters and creams over my face, before removing with flannels to reveal polished skin. The Elemis Superfood AHA Glow Cleansing Butter really encourages a good, thorough cleanse and it ticks all of my cleansing boxes.
I’m not sure what I was expecting from the Elemis Superfood AHA Glow Cleansing Butter, but the texture is almost like an unctuous gel, that looks inviting thanks to it’s orange colour, plus it smells like pumpkins which I always associate with skincare rather than food! On application, it moves comfortably around the face and doesn’t breakdown or dry out, so you can spend a good few moments working it around before faced with the option of adding water to melt it down, or just going straight in with the flannel – either works well.
The Elemis Superfood AHA Glow Cleansing Butter is a very gentle exfoliator, so don’t expect any stinging or rough bits (the exfoliating comes from the AHA rather than anything physical) and it’s definitely safe enough to use daily, although of course, if in doubt, ease yourself in and patch test first. Also, a little goes a long way, so this’ll definitely last. This really does it for me as I love a cleanser that provides a light exfoliation without going too heavy, I also like to enjoy the cleansing experience and I feel like this is a product that’s been designed to really encourage a deep cleanse.
