I’m not really one for following fashion, but I am aware of the regularity of pink appearing on the lips recently, so hopefully this means that pink lips are back in fashion which will mean, by default, I’ll be fashionable as I really, really love pink lips. As a consequence, I’m currently carrying around about 7 different pink lipsticks, all of which I love, but I thought I’d feature five of them today. I’ll be reviewing some of them individually soon, but for now, here’s a little look at the pinks I’m loving.
I have a new photography bulb which I haven’t fully got the hang of snapping with yet, so excuse the freakishly grey look of my skin in some of the pictures; I was taking them too close to the light and it’s given the skin around my lips a rather unattractive grey tinge….
First up is Palladio’s Tinted Lip Balm in Cotton Candy. It’s a sheer but buildable, slightly peachy pink with the tiniest bit of shimmer. It’s available here for £5.
Now here’s the first of the two Dior Serum De Rouges I carry around with me. One’s a little brighter and the other is more of a pretty pink. I don’t essentially need both of them, but that’s not the point really is it? This one is Petal (355) and is available here for £25.
Next is the second of the Dior Serum De Rouge which is Radiant Pink (560) and available here for £25.
Now onto the first of the two Nars lip colours I carry around. This one is their lipgloss in Angelika which I got for Christmas in the Tainted Love gift set. It’s described as a cotton candy with gold particles and I’d say it’s a pretty vivid, baby pink that has a bit of a vinyl pink quality to it. It’s definitely more of a bluey pink which I personally prefer. It’s available here for £17.50
Lastly we have the wildcard pink which comes in the form of Nars Pure Matte Lipstick in Carthage. This is a very bright, hot pink that can look almost red, but it’s most definitely pink. If I get caught off guard and have to go somewhere slightly dressier but haven’t the time to dress-up my make-up then I love a bright, matte to give me that ‘made an effort’ look with sooo little effort. It’s available here for £18.50.
So there’s a bit of an insight into my obsessive pink syndrome. As I said, there are actually more than those five that get lugged around with me, but I just really love a pink lip!

I love how the Nars Pure Matte Lipstick in Carthage looks! I’m still in my red phase at the moment, with occasional inspirations of dark purple. But I’ll be definitely checking out your suggestions for spring!!

When I first saw it, it looked like a color I would never wear. But it looks sooo good on me.
