I’m not normally one for posting about things that aren’t strictly focussed on beauty, but as I’m also a big fan of music (just finishing my MA in it) and love the idea of the younger generation being given opportunities to showcase their abilities (god I sound old) I thought this would be a great platform to share Simple’s Spotlight on Teen Talent Contest.
The contest is aimed at 13-21 year olds and there is no limit on the talent; it can be anything from fire-eating, swimming, comedy, writing or even if they’re just really good public speakers, this is a great venture that’ll hopefully encourage them to pursue their talent further but at the very least get them so more exposure.
The main prize is a 15K scholarship which can be invested in furthering the winner’s talent; whether that be by funding a further education in their chosen field or helping them afford more equipment that they might need.
So if you know a talented teen, direct them over to the Facebook app where they’ll need to upload a video of themselves performing their talent. Facebook fans will then vote for their favourites and there’ll also be a wildcard entry sent through to the finals which will then be judged by professionals.
