Apologies for the use of the press shot; I did take pictures but unfortunately they didn’t come out too well (new camera, still learning, as yet managed to avoid throwing it against the wall) and I wanted to give this epilator from Braun a pre-Christmas mention as I think it would make a pretty awesome gift for someone who spends a fortune on visits to the salon for hair removal. The Braun Silk-Epil SkinSpa is a pretty souped-up take on the epilator which makes full use of things such as sonic technology and interchangable heads that gives this hair removal device quite a lot of bang for your buck.
The Braun SkinSpa can be used wet or dry on hair as short as 0.5mm and promises up to four weeks fuzz free. The SkinSpa also comes with an impressively powerful brush head that contains 10K bristles and vibrates sonically, meaning that when used as an exfoliator you get a really thorough buffing, and well exfoliated skin is always much easier to remove hair from, so it’s a winning combination. I’ll be reviewing this soon and sharing my thoughts on how it performs both as a brush and epilator, and I’ll give it whirl wet and dry to see which I prefer; I’m actually really looking forward to trying it wet as I think that’ll help with the pain factor! The Braun Silk-Epil SkinSpa is available now and is priced quite differently depending on where you shop. Boots currently have it on special offer down from £170 to £100, so head here – link – to take advantage.
