Time for my fourth installment of the 12 Gifts of Christmas series! Today I’ve selected the Kiko Satin Nail Lacquer Set as it’s affordable, beautifully presented and very, very Christmassy. The packaging is stunning and opens up book-style to reveal eight limited edition nail polishes from the Kiko satin range.
The shade selection is really lovely and covers a wide variety of colours making this quite the crowd-pleaser. All tastes are catered for, from the pinky greige nude shade in Rose Taupe, to the bright, violet pink in Carmine Red. I think the shade names are a little off for some of the shades as they suggest completely different colours to the ones I’m seeing, but that’s no biggy really. I’m a bit obsessed with any shades that come under the Cobalt umbrella, so the inclusion of the Cobalt Blue shade (which does actually look Cobalt – only some of the shade names are off!) is really fab and I think the whole general shade edit is spot-on for a Christmas gift. I also think that Light Tiffany (the lighter, aqua shade) will make the most beautiful summer pedicure shade next year!
Unfortunately my camera has dulled the bright shades quite a bit – which is especially frustrating for Carmine Red which is such a gorgeous shade, so I’ll try to NOTD it soon – so I’ve included a screengrab of the shades from the site to give you a better idea of the shades of the brights.
I really do adore the way this set opens up to reveal a book of nail shades, and I do think that any nail or Kiko fan would be thrilled to receive this set. The fact that this is only £19.90 makes this such a fantastic gift that won’t break the bank but will still look gorgeous when being unwrapped on Christmas Day. *PR Sample
