I completely missed April in my Love List series even though there was lots I was loving. This month my list is mostly skincare based since it’s been a very skincare-heavy month for me. Having made a good start on goodies launching this month I can pretty much predict next month will be make-up heavy, so it should balance out. Here’s a run down of things I was loving in May.
First up we have the Elemental Herbology Macadamia and Papaya Radiance Body Scrub which I originally raved about here. It’s such a lovely, easy scrub that I think everyone will love as it leaves skin feeling very smooth and extremely nourished. After using in the shower, skin feels like I’ve spent half an hour rubbing oils in; it has that plump, smooth finish that you usually get post-massage. I really rate this so definitely check it out, especially if you’re a bit lazy with anything body-care related as this is such a quick way of drastically improving the overall feel of your body skin.
Next is the Advanced Nutrition Programme Skin Accumax which is doing wonders for my spots. I’m about 99% confident it’s this that’s doing the good stuff as a couple of times I’ve gone two days without taking them and the breakouts have come back thick and fast…nice bit of imagery there. I think these are dealing with my spots and the Environ skincare I’m using is taking care of my dehydration etc, plus the Sqoom is drastically healing any spots that do show, so I’m definitely getting there! Although I really need to stop saying that as every time I do I end up with a breakout; I managed to lose the pack of pills and two days later I have quite a few spots. Thankfully they don’t take long to work! Have a look at my original post here.
Ahhhh Bioderma; such a fantastic brand of French skincare that’s continually overshadowed by their breakthrough Micellar solution, and I’m now going to add to that by raving about their Hydrabio micellar which is just awesome. I’ve already reviewed it so I won’t bore you again, but it’s particularly wonderful in this humid heat leaving parched skin feeling refreshed and rehydrated. I actually look forward to using this as it whips off all make-up leaving skin feeling very clean without any tightness. Here’s my original post.
Burt’s Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream is one of those raved about products that I’ve been wanting to try for a while, and now I have I can see why people love this product so much. I have extremely dry cuticles; I’ve developed a great habit of applying oil every night but it still isn’t enough. This cuticle cream is an extremely rich, greasy, oily butter that really does make a huge difference to the dryness of cuticles. I apply a thick layer each night and I can definitely see a difference so it’s well worth trying if you have dry cuticles too.
Lastly I had to give a mention to the Environ Body Oil which is a very rich oil that, contrary to its name, can be used on the face, even on spot-prone skin like mine. It’s an extremely rich oil that I like to apply in a thick layer before bed and I awake to extremely moisturised skin. Putting a rich oil on your face might not be to everyone’s taste, but it’s like a big drink for my face so it’s definitely something I’ll stick to as it really works well for my skin type. It’s part of my Environ skincare routine which you can read more about here.
I still need to give Bioderma a whirl, I’ve heard such good things about it. Raspberrykiss xo
It’s honestly such a fantastic brand; you have to give either this micellar or the original Sensibio a go xx
