How’s this for a lovely little Spring edit? There are three products making up the eye and nail products from the Boots No7 Spring 2015 collection and they are absolutely lovely.
The palette, I believe, has been around since last year and is a smaller take on the amazing Christmas palette that No7 released and I posted about here. It’s an edit of some of the most popular shades from the No7 eyeshadow collection, and I’m very pleased to report that it includes all three of the Good Earth shades – one of my all-time favourite trios as the browns are just gorgeous! Here’s my full review of the Good Earth Trio.
The No7 Mini Eye Palette contains 8 shades of nudes and neutrals, most of which contain varying levels of shimmer other than the matte taupey shade that’s actually my favourite from the bunch. There’s also a brush included with soft, feathery bristles in a dome shape that’s actually really, really good, meaning this palette is ideal for impending holiday travel. The brush allows for easy creation of a smudgy smokey eye which is what these sort of shades are made for.
Next up are the nail shades in two beautifully bright and sunny shades that work perfectly for the warmer months, although I would call them Summer shades more than Spring colours. The two shades are from the Gel Look Shine range and are Coral Crush (orange) and Sweet Lilac (purple).
I really like both shades, although Sweet Lilac is quite dupable, whereas the pretty, juicy shade of Coral Crush doesn’t seem to already appear in my collection. I *think* these are also exciting shades which is quite an interesting way for the brand to treat a Spring collection – putting together an edit of existing products rather than releasing new ones. Some might find it a great way of inspiring a Spring look, whilst others might be disappointed in not seeing any new arrivals. I do know that there are some great face powders/bronzers coming out soon, so maybe that’ll do it for you if you’re eager for some newness! If you get one thing, go for the palette which is £11 here – link. The Coral Crush shade of polish is here – link – and Sweet Lilac is here – link – both of which are £7. Don’t forget there are mega deals to be had as part of the #LetsFeelLikeNew such as buy one get one half price on these products.
