Every year Clinique release a limited edition set designed to generate donations for research into childhood cancer at Great Ormond Street, and every year I’m touched by how lovely a concept this really is.
The Kiss it Better set is something a little bit wonderful that usually contains a couple of Clinique goodies, but most importantly, the percentage of the purchase price that actually goes to charity is HUGE. None of this £1 or £2 rubbish (although every bit helps!) as the set costs £20 and £10 of that goes to the charity. Half of it! As well as the VAT too! It’s such a great amount which makes for a lovely, timely gift for Valentine’s Day.
I spent a lot of time at GOSH when I was a child and now my son has to visit regularly as we both have disabilities in our legs. Obviously the Kiss it Better campaign is specifically for children with cancer, something luckily neither my son nor I have had to visit GOSH for, but we are there regularly and we get to see the amazing things that make it one of the world’s leading children’s hospital. It isn’t all doom and gloom and it’s actually a lovely place to be full of as many fun things as can be crammed into one space; there are clowns wandering around to say hello to children who are struggling with all the hanging around (Teddy was particularly taken with a female clown; he is SUCH a smoothie when it comes to the ladies…) and there are toys, smiles and colour everywhere; it’s truly wonderful so any money that goes to continuing to keep it at the forefront of children’s health is money extremely well spent. You can find the Kiss it Better set, which contains a full-sized Chubby Baby in Budding Blossom (my favourite shade) and a mini Moisture Surge, both housed in a Bespoke Kiss it Better pouch here – link.
